Carolina Region Camp - June 18-22 at Windridge Farm in Mooresboro, NC
Richard Lamb, Janna Ritacco. Christina Hoffman, Rachel King, Jackie Lewis are known to many in our Region and have instructed regularly at camps, clinics and clubs in recent years.
Guest lecturers include Tryon Equine veterinarians, Mick Doyle-Farrier, Deana Edwards-Farm Manager, Tot Goodwin-Green Creek Hounds, Allen Carlton-Windridge Farm Manager, Libbie Johnson-ELCR & Equine Economic Development & Impact, Price Story-USPC Driving Resource and CHMJ, Jody Hoffman-USPC Treasurer, Amber Henderson, LMBT.
Windridge Farm has a large stone dust arena and 100+ acres of open grassland for cross-country skills practice. There are XC courses for Starter through Preliminary. Windridge Farm has 57 stalls and 10 electrical hookups for campers/trailers so apply early. An outdoor shower is currently being constructed (bring flip flops or shower shoes).
Horsemasters are also welcome!
Options available include:
Bring one horse and ride twice each day (once on Sunday)
Bring two horses and ride twice each day (you chose which horse to ride)
Bring two horses and ride four times each day (twice on Sunday)
Bring a horse and ride once each day, then teach and/or do HA prep the rest of the day
Come without a horse and prep for your HA
Festival Education 2014
The following UNMOUNTED Instruction topics are planned for Festival 2014: Lower Level Standards and Certification Clinic, H-A Prep, H-B Certification, Masters Clinics with Lendon Grey and Spy Coast Farms, Sports Psychology, Trailering 101, Equine Drugs, Vaulting, Polo, D level Nutrition, HB Conditioning Schedules, Farrier, Tai Chi, Vet Box, Polo Crosse, Saddle Fitting, Horse Massage, Holistic/Acupuncture/Herbs, Mechanics of Dressage, Rehab/Recovery, Understanding Metabolic Syndrome in the Horse, Feeding the Metabolic Horse, Grooming the Upper Level Horse, Bits, Horse Management D and C Level, Parasites, Forages and Hays.
MOUNTED Instruction will be two days only, July 20, and 21. Riding disciplines available to choose from are: Cross Country, Dressage, Show Jumping, Games, Western, Polocrosse, Distance Riding and Horsemanship/Ground Training.
D Camp during Festival Education: This camp is designed for the Pony Club youth member up to the D-2 Level. They will ride twice a day and get to experience group instruction taught by a few of our very successful Graduate A Pony Club alumni. Besides riding they will have unmounted instruction in the barn and a chance to experience taking care of their pony while at the Kentucky Horse Park. There will be limited number of slots for D Camp so make sure to register early. Registration will be online only and tentatively set for May 1, 2014.

Horse Manangment Rules for 2014 Rally Year
The 2014 Horse Management Rulebook is now available and will come into effect on May 1, 2014. It will serve as the offical rulebook for all rallies from that point forward, including Championships 2014.
