For lease - Piper, a 14H AQHA mare who does lower level dressage and jumps around 3 ft. I'm looking for someone highschool age or older and a strong intermediate rider who would like to ride at least 3 times a week. In exchange we would ask that they occasionally pet sit for us. We have a nice arena with excellent lighting for night riding. I also have a lovely modern haflinger, 14.2, they could ride as well. The haflinger will probably be put up for sale in the fall, however. If you have anyone who might be interested in him, please put them in touch. I can be reached at home, 704-455-8858 or email cassie@ctc.net , almost anytime. (Posted July 30, 2010)

7 year old QH palomino mare for lease- nice mare that has been used in some lessons and been lightly jumped. Don't want to sell but don't want her not getting used either. Would consider free lease (you pay feed, farrier and routine medical but nothing additional to me) to the right person/ situation. Not for beginner rider but does not need someone with lots of experience either (maybe solid D2 or D3). Email bigridgefarm@gmail.com or call (910) 818-8186 (Posted July 13, 2010)

Just My Size aka Jessie is an adorable Welsh cross. She is 8 years old and stands just at 13hh. She has good conformation and a sweet temperament. She has schooled up to 3'3” and jumps around 2'9”-3' without an issue at home. Has shown up to 2'6” (hunters) and is almost always in the ribbons whether on the flat or over fences. Has done extensive showing in the hunter ring, been shown jumpers and has schooled XC nicely. Happiest carting around a kid who can confidently post the trot. Flying changes, nice pace and all around gorgeous show horse with the experience to back it up. Jessie has good ground manners. She'll stand in cross ties or tied to a trailer without a problem. No bite/kick. Easy to catch, clip and blanket. Good for the farrier, vet and dentist. Up-to-date on everything. Jessie happily lives outside 24/7 and is a very easy keeper. Barefoot and sound. Jessie has taken her current rider from D-1 to the D-3 (where they got 14 ES!) Asking $2,800. Need to sell. Great on trails alone or in groups and keeps her calm attitude away from home. Loads of personality! I am a full time pharmacy student at UNC and just don't have time. Would be great for a pony clubber who needs to make the move to a horse or an adult that wants to pleasure ride and do some showing. Available for full lease. Located in Harrisburg, NC. Tippy is a 13 year old registered paint gelding. He has started his eventing career and has successfully shown beginner novice. He is a great pony club/ youth horse. He is very willing to work and a quick learner. He is schooling novice and has the potential to go higher. He is a very loving horse that loves to have attention. He loads, clips, bathes, etc very well. He has competed in hunter/open shows as well and is no different in the show ring than at home. Not spooky and has never refused a jump. He would make a jumper but he loves to run cross country. He goes in a regular snaffle and doesn't get strong to the fences. He is bold but not over powering. Trail rides on the buckle and is not spooky. He crosses water, bridges etc. Will walk/trot/canter/jump on a long rein also. He has also been ridden western and would make a great western pleasure horse. Very talented and great eye appeal! $6500 obo. Routinely scores in the 30's in dressage.  He has also competed at hunter and jumper shows with much success through the 3' level.  Other then having great scope and the ability to jump, he has taken great care of my daughter in pony club helping her get her D1, D2 and preparing for D3 ratings.  He has gone to rallies, clinics and done games not just through pony club, but in the show world.  He has done all this with patience and tolerance for his rider as she learned.  He trail rides, clips, and loads easily. "Leapsandbound" (aka "Zoe") - 12 year old Welsh/TB bay mare, 14h.  Zoe is a very spicey little girl.  She would make an EXCELLENT pony jumper or eventer.  She requires a confident, quiet, intermediate rider.  One of our 11 year old students evented her last year up to Moving UP (2'3"-2'6" stadium, 2' XC, BN A dressage).  She has schooled 3' at home.  Her dressage needs some work, but she is coming along.  Before we got her (about a year ago), she was at a hunter barn.  She did some pony jumpers and hunter classed, but she was too hyped for the hunter classes.  She has been bred by the previous owner.  Asking $5500. For more information, please email me at ncsuequine@hotmail.com or call 919-563-2551 (ask for Amy or Toney). (Posted March 1, 2010)
